Minutes of a meeting of the PLANNING COMMITTEE, Arlesey Town Council held in the Village Hall, Arlesey on Tuesday 17 January 2012. PRESENT: Cllrs: N Daniels (Chairman) M Rainbow G Bains Ms J Squizzoni Ms L Clapham Ms L Warwick Mrs H Frost D West C Howitt A White D Page Also present: Mrs E Hare (Clerk) and one member of the public. 93 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE Apologies for absence were received from Cllr Ms T Osborne and Cllr Mrs J Rencontre. 94 MEMBERS’ INTERESTS There were no declarations of personal or prejudicial interests received 95 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION There was no public participation. 96 MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING Members received a copy of the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 3 January 2012. It was RESOLVED that the Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held on the 3 January 2012 be confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a true record. 97 MATTERS ARISING There were no matters arising from the previous meeting. 98 PLANNING APPLICATION CB/11/04522/FULL – Change of use from dog kennels to residential. Alterations to elevations forming a new entrance way and window layout – Fairfield Farm, Hitchin Road, Arlesey, Beds SG15 6SE Recommended: to approve this proposal in principle. Members were concerned about the safety of the access to the property and also noted that work has already started before planning permission. 99 PLANNING EXPLAINED Members received correspondence from CPRE/NALC which enclosed a copy of the new guide to Planning Explained. The Clerk said she had ordered extra copies of the guide. It was AGREED to note the new planning information 100 CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN The Chairman reported that the Central Bedfordshire Economic Development Plan was formally approved at the Central Bedfordshire Council meeting on 24 November 2011. He added the Economic Development Plan highlighted nine key work streams to support economic growth over the coming years and read out to the meeting the key priorities for 2012/13.
