Minutes of a meeting of the PLANNING COMMITTEE, Arlesey Town Council held in the Village Hall, Arlesey on Tuesday 3 January 2012. PRESENT: Cllrs: M Rainbow (Chairman) Mrs J Rencontre G Bains Ms J Squizzoni Ms L Clapham Ms L Warwick Mrs H Frost D West Ms T Osborne A White D Page Also present: Mrs E Hare (Clerk) and Mrs L Rowe (Assistant Clerk) 85 ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN FOR THE MEETING The chairman and vice-chairman had sent in their apologies and a proposal was needed to elect a chairman for the meeting. It was proposed by Cllr D West and seconded by Cllr Mrs J Rencontre that Cllr Mark Rainbow is chairman for this meeting. It was RESOLVED that Cllr Mark Rainbow chair the meeting 86 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE Apologies for absence were received from Cllr Nick Daniels and Cllr Chris Howitt. 87 MEMBERS INTERESTS Agenda Item 6 CB/11/03659/FULL Front extension and detached garage Saumerez, 1 Church End, Arlesey SG15 6UY Cllr Ms J Squizzoni declared a personal interest to this agenda item as she is a neighbour. Cllr Ms Squizzoni left the room when this was discussed. No other declarations of personal interests were received There were no prejudicial interests received. 88 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION There was no public participation. 89 MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING Members received a copy of the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 6 December 2011. It was RESOLVED that the Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held on the 6 December 2011 be confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a true record. 90 MATTERS ARISING There were no matters arising from the previous meeting. 91 PLANNING APPLICATION CB/11/03659/FULL Front extension and detached garage Saumerez, 1 Church End, Arlesey SG15 6UY Recommended: to REFUSE the planning application as this will have a detrimental impact on the neighbouring St Peters Church which is a listed building 92 PLANNING DECISIONS (a) CB/11/03512/FULL Erection of rear conservatory 34 Hitchin Road, Arlesey SG15 6RP GRANTED It was RESOLVED to note planning decision 92 (a) (b) CB/11/02835/FULL Single wind renewable energy turbine and integrated sub station Land At Arlesey Landfill Site, Mill Lane, Arlesey WITHDRAWN It was RESOLVED to note planning decision 92 (b) and that the single wind turbine application had been withdrawn
