Town and Country Planning Act 1990

Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review

On 5th December 2005, Mid Bedfordshire District Council adopted this plan. The adopted Plan will form part of the development plan for the area of Mid Bedfordshire. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area.

Copies of the plan are available for inspection at the Council's offices in Biggleswade (23 London Road, Biggleswade, SG18 8ER) or Ampthill (The Limes, Dunstable Street, Ampthill, MK45 2JU) on Monday to Thursday between 9 am and 5 pm and on Friday between 9 am and 4 pm. The documents are also available for inspection at main libraries in the District; Monday to Saturday (days and opening hours vary). Available for inspection are:

  •     Copies of the plan;

  •     the report of the person who held the local inquiry (Inspector's Report 2002) and the authority's statement of reasons and decisions in the light of the report;

  •     the authorities statement of reasons and decisions as respect objections to the Plan.

The Plan came into operation on its adoption. A person aggrieved by the proposals who desires to question the validity on the ground that they are not within the powers conferred by Part II of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 or that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the adoption of the proposals, may, within six weeks from 5th December 2005, make an application to the High Court under section 287 of the 1990 Act.
