Minutes of a meeting of the PLANNING COMMITTEE, Arlesey Town Council held in the Village Hall, Arlesey on Tuesday 17 June 2008
PRESENT: Cllrs: V Williams (Chairman) R Harris D Beatham Ms C Marshall I Dalgarno M Rainbow Mrs H Frost Mrs S Sarll H Harper D West Also present: Mrs E Hare (Clerk) 191 APOLOGIES Apologies for absence were received from Cllr Mrs D Archer, Cllr N Daniels, Cllr C Howitt and Cllr D Page 192 MEMBERS’ INTERESTS Planning application 6 (a) 08/00777/FULL – Full: Single storey rear extension – 18 St Peters Avenue, Arlesey SG15 6UR – a disclosure of personal and prejudicial interest was received from Cllr D West as he is a neighbour of the applicant Planning application 6 (c) – Full: Single storey front extension and entrance canopy – Nursery School, High Street, Arlesey SG15 6SN – a disclosure of personal interest was received from Cllr Mrs H Frost as she is on the Nursery School’s governing body Cllr I Dalgarno, as District Councillor, took no part in the voting on the planning applications agenda items 6 (a) to 6 (d) Cllr H Harper, as District Councillor, took no part in the voting on the planning applications agenda items 6 (a) to 6 (d) No other declarations of personal or prejudicial interests were received. 193 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION There was no public participation 194 MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING RESOLVED that the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 3 June 2008 be confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a true record 195 MATTERS ARISING There were no matters arising from the previous meeting 196 PLANNING APPLICATIONS (a) 08/00777/FULL – Full: Single storey rear extension – 18 St Peters Avenue, Arlesey SG15 6UR Recommended: to approve subject to neighbours being consulted and their comments taken into consideration, otherwise no objections from the Town Council (b) 08/00859/FULL – Full: Proposed Community/Leisure facility and relocation of Stotfold Football Club – Land Adjacent to Larksfield Surgery, Arlesey Road, Stotfold Recommended: The Town Council gives its full support to this proposal (c) 08/00703/FULL – Full: Single storey front extension and entrance canopy – Nursery School, High Street, Arlesey SG15 6SN Recommended: to approve on condition that there will be a Fire Service consultation, otherwise no objections from the Town Council (d) 08/00868/FULL – Full: Conversion of barn to form a two bedroom dwelling – Land at 31 High Street, Arlesey SG15 6RA Recommended: to approve subject to neighbours being consulted and their comments taken into consideration, otherwise no objections from the Town Council 197 CORRESPONDENCE 08/00503/FULL – Full: Proposed new grain store and farm access – Land to the side of Wilbury Farm, Hitchin Road, Arlesey Further to the Town Council’s comments on the above proposal a letter was received from Mid Beds District Council informing Council that the proposal had been recommended for approval AGREED to note this information 198 MBDC - PLANNING TRAINING SESSION The Planning Training Session booked with Andrew Davie, Development Control Manager and Cllr Matthews, Portfolio Holder for Sustainable Development will meet with Members at 6pm on Tuesday 24 June 2008 and will last for about an hour. A letter of confirmation from Mr Davie confirmed he and Cllr Matthews will be attending AGREED to note this information 199 MBDC – NOTICE OF APPEALS (a) Planning Application 08/00262/FULL - Site at 31 High Street, Arlesey SG15 6RA (b) Planning Application 07/01229/FULL – Site at Land to the rear of 82 to 84 House Lane, Arlesey The Chairman reported to Members that additional comments on the appeals would need three copies sent to the Planning Inspectorate. RESOLVED that the Town Council had commented on both proposals and no further comments would be sent to the Planning Inspectorate. CHAIRMAN
