PRESENT: Cllrs: H Harper (Chairman) R Harris Mrs D Archer Ms C Marshall D Beatham D Page J Caffrey M Rainbow I Dalgarno Mrs S Sarll Mrs H Frost D West Also present: Mrs E Hare (Clerk) 123 APOLOGIES Apologies for absence were received from Cllr N Daniels, Cllr C Howitt Cllr V Williams. 124 ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN FOR THIS MEETING The Chairman and Vice-Chairman had given apologies for this meeting and a proposal was needed for someone to chair the meeting It was proposed and seconded that Cllr Hugh Harper be elected as the Chairman for the meeting 125 MEMBERS’ INTERESTS Cllr I Dalgarno, as District Councillor, took no part in the voting on the planning applications agenda items 6 (a) to 6 (e) Cllr H Harper, as District Councillor, took no part in the voting on the planning applications agenda items 6 (a) to 6 (e) 126 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION There was no public participation 127 MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING RESOLVED that the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 5 February 2008 be confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a true record 128 MATTERS ARISING There were no matters arising from the previous meeting 129 APPLICATIONS TO DATE (a) 08/00007/FULL – Section 73 Determination: Variation of condition 5 (windows) attached to planning application permission ref: 06/00400/RM dated 16/06/06 (for the erection of 15 dwellings with garages and parking pursuant to outline planning permission Ref: 2000/01151/OUT dated 07/02/02) to allow U-PVC top hung mock sash windows to plots 22, 23, 24 & 25 - Fairfield Park Land adjoining Phase 1 Plots 22 to 25, Hitchin Road, Stotfold Recommended: To NOTE the variation of condition 5 of this proposal (b) 08/00137/FULL – Full: Conservatory to rear – 27 House Lane, Arlesey SG15 6XU Recommended: to approve subject to neighbours comments being taken into consideration, no objections from the Town Council (c) 08/00180/FULL – Full: Proposed Community/Leisure facility and re-location of Stotfold Football Club - Land adjacent to Larksfield Surgery, Arlesey Road, Stotfold Recommended: the Town Council strongly supports this proposal as the Community/Leisure facility will also benefit the residents of Arlesey (d) 08/00192/FULL - Full: Single storey front porch extension – 63 Chase Hill Road, Arlesey SG15 6UD Recommended: to approve, no objections from the Town Council (e) 08/00129/FULL – Full: Installation of Solar Collectors on roof – 10 Chapel Drive, Arlesey SG15 6PB Recommended: to approve, no objections from the Town Council 130 MID BEDS DISTRICT COUNCIL – POSTAL NUMBERING Correspondence received from MBDC dated 8 February 2008 confirmed the addresses for the 13 dwellings at the Land adjoining Church Farm, High Street, Arlesey. The Chairman read the proposal to the meeting for postal numbering for 13 dwellings in Weavers Orchard. AGREED to note the above postal addresses 131 LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK (LDF) Cllr Hugh Harper said he and Cllr Vic Williams attended the Issues and Options Consultation Briefing held at Mid Beds District Council offices on Monday 11 February 2008. He reported that: · A company called Vision 21 will be carrying out a series of exhibitions for MBDC in the towns and parishes who have put forward site allocations for their areas · The 'talktomidbeds' consultation website gives the details of the exhibitions across the district and Cllr Harper said he was very disappointed with it, as it did not show the whole picture of Arlesey Town Council’s proposals · Cllr Harper said he had contacted the LDF Team to show his displeasure to them and to Vision 21 · A leaflet from the LDF Team will be delivered to every household in the areas where the exhibitions will be held. This will have all the details and dates of the exhibitions to give people the opportunity to go along and have their say · Cllr Harper said the exhibition for Arlesey will be held at the Village Hall on Wednesday, 19 March 2008 from 1pm to 8pm and he would like all councillors to come along at various times through the afternoon to explain the Town Council’s ideas behind the relief road · Members can access more details from MBDC LDF Team’s website www.talktomidbeds.co.uk · On the Gypsy and Traveller sites consultation EERA were proposing that MBDC will have to find 25 pitches in the area beyond 2011 and this to increase by 3% each year for further sites CHAIRMAN |
