PRESENT: Cllrs: V Williams (Chairman) H Harper D Beatham R Harris J Caffrey C Howitt I Dalgarno Ms C Marshall N Daniels D Page Mrs H Frost M Rainbow Also present: Mrs L Rowe (Assistant Clerk) 106 APOLOGIES Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs Mrs D Archer, Mrs S Sarll and D West 107 MEMBERS INTERESTS 08/00014/FULL Full: Block of 6 no. 2 bed flats and provision of parking area for 9 cars Land to the rear of 82 to 84 House Lane, Arlesey a disclosure of personal interest was received from Cllr Mrs H Frost Cllr I Dalgarno, as District Councillor, took no part in the voting on the planning applications agenda items 6 (a) to 6 (d) Cllr H Harper, as District Councillor, took no part in the voting on the planning applications agenda items 6 (a) and 6 (d) 108 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION There was no public participation 109 MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING RESOLVED that the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 8 January 2008 be confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a true record 110 MATTERS ARISING There were no matters arising from the previous meeting 111 APPLICATIONS TO DATE (a) 07/01320/RM Full: Erection of 35 dwellings, garages and associated infrastructure pursuant to Outline Planning Permission Ref: 04/01220/OUT dated 06/0606 The Crescent (South Section) Bronte Avenue, Stotfold Recommended: To NOTE the proposal (b) 07/02149/FULL Full: Two storey and single storey side and rear extensions 8 Lynton Avenue, Arlesey SG15 6TT Recommended: to approve subject to neighbours being consulted and their comments taken into consideration, otherwise no objections from the Town Council (c) BC/CM/2008/1 Proposal: Variation of condition 5 of Planning Permission 3/2006 for an extension of time until 31 March 2009 for construction of a screening bund and associated landscaping in connection with the power station Arlesey Landfill site, Mill Lane, Arlesey Recommended: to approve, no objections from the Town Council (d) 08/00014/FULL Full: Erection of 6 no. 2 bed flats and provision of parking area for 9 cars Land to the rear of 82-84 House Lane, Arlesey Recommended: the Town Council reiterated that they object to this proposal on the same grounds as previously stated: · Access to the proposed development would be onto House Lane at a point, which is already congested with parked vehicles both delivering to the shop and people visiting the shop. With the increased number of vehicles using the junction this would be contrary to highways safety · The Town Council considers that this rear infill is inappropriate because the proposed block of flats would be overbearing to the neighbouring properties 112 MID BEDS DISTRICT COUNCIL POSTAL NUMBERING Letter dated 10 January 2008 from MBDC regarding an application received by them for Street Naming and postal numbering for 13 dwellings at Land adjoining Church Farm, High Street, Arlesey. Location: Land adjoining Church Farm, High Street, Arlesey Proposal: Postal numbering for 13 dwellings (Weavers Orchard). RESOLVED: that the dwellings should be numbered into Weavers Orchard CHAIRMAN |
