ARLESEY TOWN COUNCIL Minutes of the meeting of Arlesey Town Council’s PLANNING COMMITTEE, held in the Village Hall, Arlesey on Tuesday 2 March 2010. PRESENT: Cllrs: V Williams (Chairman) H Harper Mrs D Archer Mrs C Harris Mrs L Bowskill R Harris J Caffrey C Howitt I Dalgarno D Page N Daniels M Rainbow Mrs H Frost D West In attendance: Mrs E Hare (Clerk), Mrs L Rowe (Assistant Clerk) and 1 member of the public 435 APOLOGIES An apology for absence was received from Cllr D Beatham. 436 MEMBERS’ INTERESTS Planning Application Agenda item 6 (b) - CB/10/00511/FULL – Full: Two storey side extension, single storey rear extension, formation of front porch with balcony over and removal of chimney stack – 26 The Hermitage, Arlesey SG15 6XE – Cllr J Caffrey declared a personal and prejudicial interest as the applicant is a neighbour. Cllr Caffrey left the meeting when this application was discussed. Cllr I Dalgarno, as he is also a Central Bedfordshire Councillor, took no part in the voting on the planning application agenda items 6 (a) to 6 (b). No other declarations of personal or prejudicial interests were received. 437 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION There was no public participation 438 MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING Members received a copy of the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 16 February 2010 RESOLVEDthat the Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held on the 16 February be confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a true record. 439 MATTERS ARISING There were no matters arising from the previous meeting. 440 PLANNING APPLICATIONS (a) CB/10/00495/FULL – Full: Single storey front extension with new chimney to side – 37 Howberry Green, Arlesey SG15 6ZA Recommended: to approve this proposal subject to neighbours’ comments being taken into consideration, otherwise no objections from the Town Council (b) CB/10/00511/FULL – Full: Two storey side extension, single storey rear extension, formation of front porch with balcony over and removal of chimney stack – 26 The Hermitage, Arlesey SG15 6XE Recommended: to approve this proposal subject to neighbours’ comments being taken into consideration, otherwise no objections from the Town Council (c) CB/10/00099/OUT – Outline: Remodelling of the High Street, Primrose Lane, Mill Lane and Station Road junction and creation of a new southern access to land west of the High Street. Demolition of existing site buildings and erection of two retail units and up to twenty residential units (All matters reserved except access) – High Street and Land to the rear of 35-41 High Street, Arlesey It was proposed to look at this application at the next Planning Committee meeting on Tuesday 16 March 2010. This would afford an opportunity to display the application to residents at the Annual Town Meeting on 8 March 2010. RESOLVED to suspend the discussion and recommendation on the Remodelling of the High Street/Primrose Lane/Mill Lane and Station Road junction outline planning application until the next planning meeting on 16 March 2010. (d) CB/10/00526/OUT – Outline: Provision of link road (All matters reserved except access) – Land to the rear of 35-41 High Street and St John’s, Arlesey It was proposed to look at this application at the next Planning Committee meeting on Tuesday 16 March 2010. This would afford an opportunity to display the application to residents at the Annual Town Meeting on 8 March 2010. RESOLVED to suspend the discussion and recommendation at this meeting, on the outline planning application for Provision of link road, until the next planning meeting on 16 March 2010. CHAIRMAN |
