63 MEMBERS’ INTERESTS

Agenda Item 6 (b) – CB/11/02835/FULL – Single wind renewable energy turbine and integrated sub station – Land at Arlesey Landfill Site, Mill Lane, Arlesey and correspondence from Proteus Public Relations – Cllr David West declared a personal interest on this item as he is an Environmental Trainer for the Every Action Counts and he took no part in the discussion or the decision of this application.       

There were no other declarations of personal interests received

There were no prejudicial interests received.

Members received a copy of the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 18 October 2011.

It was RESOLVED

that the Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held on the 18 October 2011 be confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a true record.

There were no matters arising from the previous meeting. 

67 PLANNING APPLICATIONS

(a) CB/11/03512/FULL – Erection of rear conservatory – 34 Hitchin Road, Arlesey SG15 6RP

Recommended: to approve this proposal in principle subject to neighbour’s comments being taken into consideration, otherwise no objections from the Town Council other than to make the comment that there are concerns over the proximity to the neighbour’s wall

(b) CB/11/02835/FULL – Single wind renewable energy turbine and integrated sub station – Land at Arlesey Landfill Site, Mill Lane, Arlesey

Correspondence from Proteus Public Relations

After a lengthy discussion Members concluded that there were concerns that still needed to be addressed with regard to the impact on environmental and other issues.

Recommended: to OBJECT to this proposal for the following reasons:

More information and discussions are needed in relation to any future proposals on this site and where it would lead to.

There is still concern over the possible noise levels

Concern over negative impact on the environment

There are concerns for the health and safety of the people who work in the area near the site

Should this application be approved, serious concerns were raised over the tolerance of the bridge in Mill Lane, if this were to be the access used to get the equipment to the site. 

(c) Proposed Base Station Site-Share at CS 24668 – Arlesey Town Football Club, Hitchin Road, Arlesey, Beds

Recommended: to approve this proposal, no objections from the Town Council as this is for additional equipment to an existing site
