Minutes of a meeting of the PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE, Arlesey Town Council held in the Village Hall, Arlesey on Tuesday 19 September 2006 AT 6.45pm.

Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs Mrs H Frost and Cllr P Woodward.

10 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

None

No declarations of personal or prejudicial interests were received.

The minutes of the meeting held on 18 July 2006 previously circulated were signed by the Chairman as a true record of that meeting.

(a) To discuss items for inclusion in the Autumn Newsletter

The Chairman said some of the summer newsletters had not yet been circulated to all households due to the problems with distribution. As a consequence some of the information in the newsletter was out of date The Clerk said the Autumn Newsletter would be distributed as soon as possible and a new method of distribution needed to be found for all residents to have a copy as soon as it was published. The Clerk also said information was already being collated and prepared for the newsletter.

(b) Distribution details to be discussed

As the scouts were no longer distributing the Town Council Newsletter an alternative would have to be found.  A courier company may have to deliver the autumn newsletters.  

(a) To discuss items for inclusion on the website

The Chairman said he and Cllr Woodward had removed old information from the website.  There was still more to do to get it up to date.

(b) Staff training details

Thursday evening website training classes were a possibility.
