Minutes of a meeting of the PLANNING COMMITTEE, Arlesey Town Council held in the Village Hall, Arlesey on Tuesday 7 June 2011. PRESENT: Cllrs: H Harper (Chairman) R Harris Mrs L Bowskill C Howitt I Dalgarno D Page N Daniels M Rainbow Mrs H Frost D West Mrs C Harris A White Also present: Mrs L Rowe (Assistant Clerk). 11 APOLOGIES An apology for absence was received from Cllr Mrs D Archer 12 MEMBERS’ INTERESTS Planning Application Agenda item 6(a) – CB/11/01372/FULL – Erection of front porch and two storey rear extension – 6 Glebe Avenue, Arlesey SG15 6UP Cllr M Rainbow declared a personal interest on the grounds that he lives opposite the property and took no part in the voting on this application. There were no other declarations of personal or prejudicial interests received. Cllr I Dalgarno, as he is also a Central Bedfordshire Councillor, took no part in the voting on the planning applications agenda items 6 (a) to 6 (d). 13 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION There was no public participation 14 MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING Prior to the meeting Members received a copy of the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 17 May 2011. RESOLVED that the Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held on the 17 May 2011 be confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a true record. 15 MATTERS ARISING There were no matters arising from the previous meeting. 16 PLANNING APPLICATIONS (a) CB/11/01372/FULL – Erection of front porch and two storey rear extension – 6 Glebe Avenue, Arlesey SG15 6UP Recommended: to approve this proposal subject to neighbours’ comments being taken into consideration, otherwise no objections from the Town Council. (b) CB/11/01466/FULL – Raising of existing security fencing to side of school by 750mm in matching fencing system and provision of 6 No. security lights to perimeter of building – Gothic Mede Lower School, High Street, Arlesey SG15 6SL Recommended: to approve this proposal, no objections from the Town Council (c) CB/11/01792/REN – Renewal of Planning Permission: Rear single storey extension. Replace existing rear first floor flat roof with pitched roof approved on planning permission MB/08/01401/FULL dated 22 September 2008 – 134 High Street, Arlesey SG15 6SN Recommended: to approve this proposal, no objections from the Town Council (d) CB/11/01796/FULL – Single storey front extension of porch and garage – 6 Vicarage Close, Arlesey SG15 6XH Recommended: to approve this proposal, no objections from the Town Council 17 PLANNING FOR TRAVELLER SITES Members had received details from NALC of a consultation on planning for travellers – Policy Consultation P13-11 dated 6 May 2011. The consultation closes on 6 July 2011. Members discussed the issue and it was agreed that the Chairman would respond to NALC. It was AGREED that the Chairman would respond to NALC CHAIRMAN Date
