Minutes of a meeting of the PLANNING COMMITTEE, Arlesey Town Council held in the Village Hall, Arlesey on Tuesday 19 July 2011. PRESENT: Cllrs: H Harper (Chairman) R Harris Mrs D Archer C Howitt Mrs L Bowskill D West Mrs H Frost A White Mrs C Harris Also present: Mrs E Hare (Clerk) and one member of the public 25 APOLOGIES Apologies for absence were received from Cllr I Dalgarno, Cllr N Daniels, Cllr D Page and Cllr M Rainbow. 26 MEMBERS INTERESTS Planning Application Agenda item 6 CB/11/02175/FULL Proposed garage conversion and erection of a porch to the front 1B Primrose Lane, Arlesey SG15 6RD Cllr A White declared a personal interest on the grounds that he is a nearby neighbour and took no part in the voting on this application. There were no other declarations of personal or prejudicial interests received. 27 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION There was no public participation 28 MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING Prior to the meeting Members received a copy of the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 21 June 2011. RESOLVED that the Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held on the 21 June 2011 be confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a true record. 29 MATTERS ARISING There were no matters arising from the previous meeting. 30 PLANNING APPLICATION CB/11/02175/FULL Proposed garage conversion and erection of a porch to the front 1B Primrose Lane, Arlesey SG15 6RD Recommended: to approve this proposal, no objections from the Town Council 31 PLANNING DECISION CB/10/01831/OUT Outline: Remodelling of the High Street, Primrose Lane, Mill Lane, Station Road, junction and creation of a new southern access to land west of the High Street. Demolition of existing site buildings and erection of two retail and up to twenty residential units. (All matters reserved except access) High Street and land to the rear of 35-41 High Street, Arlesey RESOLVED to note the reasons for granting planning decision CB/10/01831/OUT 32 CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN Prior to the meeting members received a copy of the consultation document launched by Central Bedfordshire Council on their Economic Development Plan, which sets out their commitment to supporting sustainable economic growth in Central Bedfordshire over the next few years.
