No declarations of personal or prejudicial interests were received. 396 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION There was no public participation 397 MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING Members received a copy of the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 17 November 2009 RESOLVED that the Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held on 17 November 2009 be confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a true record. 398 MATTERS ARISING There were no matters arising from the previous meeting. 399 PLANNING APPLICATIONS (a) CB/09/06592/FULL – Full: Erection of detached Garage/Utility – 37 Lymans Road, Arlesey SG15 6XX Recommended: to approve this proposal subject to neighbours’ comments being taken into consideration, otherwise no objections from the Town Council (b) CB/09/06052/FULL – Full: Single and two storey side/rear extension – 59 House Lane, Arlesey SG15 6XX Recommended: to approve this proposal subject to neighbours’ comments being taken into consideration, otherwise no objections from the Town Council (c) CB/09/06598/FULL – Full: Erection of conservatory to side/rear – 23 Chancellors, Arlesey SG15 6YB Recommended: to approve this proposal subject to neighbours’ comments being taken into consideration, otherwise no objections from the Town Council (d) TPO/09/00158 – Prune one Sycamore tree within the rear garden – 117 Chase Hill Road, Arlesey SG15 6UF Recommended: to approve this proposal, no objections from the Town Council (e) CB/09/06700/FULL – Full: Retention of sales counter building and change of use to allow retail sales on site, with associated access and parking (Retrospective) – Arcade Flowers, Stotfold Road, Arlesey SG15 6XS Recommended: to approve this proposal, no objections from the Town Council 400 LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK (a) (i) Development Task Force meeting - 7 December 2009 (ii) The Task Force meeting – 14 December 2009 Cllr Hugh Harper reported on the correspondence received from Simon Andrews, the LDF Team Leader. He said two potential Gypsy and Traveller sites were likely to be considered by the Development Strategy Task Force for Arlesey. The Town Council had put in proposals to support the one site in Hitchin Road in the hope it would meet the Council’s requirement for pitches in Arlesey. He went on to say Cllr I Dalgarno will be attending the Development Strategy Task Force meeting on the 7 December. Cllr Harper said he would be available to attend the Task Force meeting on 14 December 2009 to give evidence on behalf of the Town Council. RESOLVED to note this information and agreed that Cllr Harper attends the meeting on 14 December 2009 to give evidence on behalf of the Town Council. (b) Correspondence from Simon Andrews, LDF Team Leader, Central Bedfordshire North The letter informed Council that Central Bedfordshire Council adopted the Core Strategy and Development Management Policies Development Plan Document (DPD) on 19 November 2009. It also stated that two further documents will be consulted on between January and March 2010, Site Allocations DPD and Gypsy and Traveller DPD Cllr Hugh Harper reported a copy of the Adoption Statement was on the reserve side of the letter. RESOLVED to note this information (c) Central Bedfordshire Council Housing Strategy Consultation Event Members received prior notification of an invitation to the consultation event being held on 15 January 2010. Cllr Harper said he was available to attend. It was proposed that Cllr Hugh Harper accept the invitation to attend. RESOLVED to note this information and agreed Cllr Harper accept the invitation to attend the consultation on 15 January 2010 401 SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES ACT AMENDMENT BILL Members received a copy of an email from Steve Shaw, Local Works National Co-ordinator urging Council to write to our MP Alistair Burt to adopt the Bill RESOLVED the Clerk to write to Alistair Burt MP to ask him on behalf of the Town Council to adopt the Sustainable Communities Act Amendment Bill CHAIRMAN |
